‘Divergent’ filming to commence later this year
Deadline surprised the Divergent fandom earlier this week by stating in a recent article that the adaptation is to begin filming in a few months.
“Divergent, written by Veronica Roth, tops the Children’s Paperback books list this week. Lionsgate-Summit’s feature adaptation of the dystopian teen tale, with screenplay by Evan Daugherty, is in pre-production now with plans to start filming later this year.”
I have emailed Veronica Roth asking if this is true or not.
Divergent and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will be filming at the same time, which may suggest the films will be released within months of each other.
(Editor’s note: Though filming may begin this year, Summit may hold its release for a couple years until they think the time is right.)

Divergent, Angst of a fangirl, seriously though summit, y u trying to kill me,

Do you guys every have those dreams that are so vivid that your brain can’t discern whether it’s reality or a dream?

I had one last night and it was really really scary. I can’t remember details but it was kind of like a zombie apocalypse type thing. And it was weird because I woke up only after I realized that one of the people around me looked like my friends mom. At which point I realized it was a dream and like blacked out only to wake up. I kind felt like I had broke a simulation from Divergent or something.

Divergent, ALL THE INSURGENT FEELS, Veronica roth why are you doing this to me, seriously?,

According to the test in the back of Divergent I’m guessing that I’m Divergent since I was equal parts Abnegation and Erudite (Which is kind of a funny combo in retrospect). However I think I might primarily be Erudite since when Jeanine asked if anyone knew what Mirror Neurons were I was like ‘I DO! PICK ME’.
